TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions apply to all photography and videography services provided by Mikael Selassi / Eoptikx. By booking a session or submitting an inquiry, you agree to the following terms.

1. COMMUNICATION

All communication prior to booking is handled via email. For all inquiries and requests, please contact contact@mkselassi.com.

​

2. BOOKINGS & PAYMENT

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm any booking.

  • The remaining balance is due on the date of the shoot or event.

  • Accepted payment methods: Square, PayPal, and cash (day of service only).

  • Bookings are not confirmed until payment is received and acknowledged in writing.

3. STUDIO & LOCATION

  • Clients are responsible for securing studio or location access and covering any related fees (e.g., permits, parking, entrance).

  • If the selected location requires special clearance or permissions, the client must handle coordination in advance.

4. TRAVEL POLICY

  • Sessions located more than one hour from Bowie, MD must be arranged manually via email.

  • Locations outside a 20-mile radius from Bowie are subject to travel fees.

  • Out-of-state bookings requiring equipment transport are subject to a fee between $200–$600, depending on distance and scope.

  • Please email contact@mkselassi.com to receive a travel fee estimate before booking.

5. CONSULTATIONS

  • A complimentary consultation is available upon request after booking.

  • To request a consultation, email contact@mkselassi.com.

6. GUEST POLICY

  • Clients may bring up to two guests to studio sessions.

  • Additional guests are not permitted unless approved in advance.

7. RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS

  • First reschedule: $100

  • Each additional reschedule: $50

  • Rescheduling 24–72 hours before your session: $200

  • Weather-related reschedules will not incur a fee.

If a session is rescheduled, Mikael Selassi / Eoptikx reserves the right to cancel.
All rescheduled sessions must be completed within 20 days, or the deposit will be forfeited.

In the event Mikael Selassi cancels a session due to emergency or extenuating circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

8. ARRIVAL & LATENESS

  • A 30-minute grace period is provided.

  • After 30 minutes, the session may be canceled or shortened at the photographer’s discretion.

Late arrival fees:

  • 30 minutes: $25

  • 45 minutes: $50

  • 1 hour: $100

Arrival expectations:

  • Hair and makeup must be completed before arrival.

  • Outfit changes are limited to 10 minutes total.

  • A portable changing tent can be provided on request (location permitting).

  • Creative direction is not included unless specifically outlined in your package.

9. DELIVERABLES & TURNAROUND TIME

  • Final galleries are delivered within 3–5 business days, unless otherwise noted.

  • Rush delivery may be available depending on workload and scope. Please inquire via email.

  • Proof galleries are provided within 24–48 hours for selection purposes only.

  • Selections must be submitted within 3 business days.

  • Revision requests must be made within 48 hours of receiving final edits.

10. IMAGE & EDITING POLICY

  • Unedited images are not permitted for use unless the entire set is purchased.

  • Any additional editing requests outside of the selected package may be subject to added fees, depending on complexity and current demand.

  • We do not accept commissions to edit or retouch outside images.

11. EVENTS

To request event coverage, please email contact@mkselassi.com and include the following:

  • Date & location of the event

  • Desired coverage time

  • Budget

  • Any specific deliverables or requirements

Booking event coverage confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

12. CONCEPTUAL EDITING

For projects requiring conceptual editing or custom post-production, please submit a detailed proposal to contact@mkselassi.com.
Custom quotes will be provided based on complexity and timeline.

13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Mikael Selassi retains copyright and usage rights for all content created.
Clients receive personal or commercial usage rights depending on the terms of their individual agreement or package.

14. AMENDMENTS

These terms may be updated periodically without notice. The version published at the time of booking will apply to your session or project.
