This all started with a hand-me-down camera and too many friends
willing to model
Ethiopian by blood. DC Raised.
A biology degree I never used, and a Camera I never put down.
Picked up photography in college thanks to a frat bro who handed me a camera and said, “figure it out”
Now I shoot grads, celebs, people, events pretty much anything that deserves good lighting and better framing
I’ll tell you when to fix your collar and when to stop doing
that thing with your hands
Sessions are chill, focused, and built around trust
never forcing energy, but rather settling into it

I usually hate being in front of the camera, but Mikael made it feel easy. Nothing felt forced. The photos ended up looking like the version of me I actually see in my head.
GRADUATE
I came in with a vague idea and no real plan, and somehow he turned it into a full visual story. He just got it without me having to overexplain anything.
ENTREPENEUR
There’s no ego, or weird energy. Mikael shows up, locks in, and makes you look sharp. I’ve worked with a lot of photographers, this felt different.
